Programmable, authorized, directly sealable and protected against undetected opening


With the RFID Jewelry Label, PMG Labels has developed an electronic labeling solution that caters to the precise requirements of the product and industry. The label comprises a film with a small integrated chip. At PMG Labels, it is produced as reel-fed material and can be both programmed and individually printed with codes, logos and characters using commercially-available TTR/RFID label printers.


When labeling a gemstone, the label is peeled from the backing layer and shaped into a pocket into which the gemstone is then inserted. Closing the pocket joins together the film without the use of adhesive, and thus without residue, to form a tamper-evident envelope.


The integrated opening seal reliably shows if the label pocket has been opened without authorization. The label can be read out at any time – without direct visual contact, through the jewelry packaging for example.

Secure supply chain, efficient stocktaking


The identification of gemstones with the RFID Jewelry Label from PMG Labels makes it possible for goods to be continuously tracked in intralogistics processes and along the entire supply chain.


Electronic identification also makes stocktaking considerably easier and more efficient as the label can also be read from a greater distance and multiple labels – and thus multiple gemstones – can be identified together in a group.
