Huge machine equipment

Due to our huge machine equipment, we are very flexible in the production of customer-specific and security-related products. PMG has worked out some developments ourselves with our machine suppliers, which enable us to apply special techniques that would require a great deal of effort to be reconstructed by outsiders.

Security

Very high demands on our production and building security. For us, this includes all processes, starting with the ordering and delivery of the required components and their storage, through production and delivery, and finally also the safety-assured and certified disposal of the proofs and all other safety-relevant components. To this end, we have coordinated our processes throughout.

DNA coding

For identification, we use artificially generated DNA which can then be read out in the laboratory or with readers for monitoring the supply chain

Guilloche patterns
= Intersecting or overlapping curved lines also used when printing paper money

Hologram technology
= Motion-sensitive, silvery elements which imply a multi-dimensional stereogram, also combined with 3D effects

Optically variable inks / OVD

= Printing inks which change their appearance depending on the light’s angle of incidence

RFID
= Electronic radio transponder technology with which information can be saved and read out again via induction

Security punchings

= Special punch holes which cause the label to tear when an attempt is made to remove it. As a result, the label can only be partially detached from the carrier.

Sinus lines
= Curved lines running in a lengthwise direction

Special adhesives

We use special adhesives to meet specific requirements

Transparent fluorescent colors
= Hidden colors which cannot be seen with the naked eye without the aid of specific devices. These colors are matched to the different wavelengths.

VOID effect
Color residues remain on the labeled object even if the label is removed shortly after being applied. This effect cannot be tampered with and cannot be restored.

We can develop and optimize key components of the seals and labels to be produced together with the world market leaders in the supplier sector for security printing. These include leading manufacturers of adhesives, films, printing inks, and coatings.
This means that, similar to the printing of banknotes, our customers have a choice of individually matched components, such as the various printing inks.

Quality control through final inspection based on camera systems

Here, each label is scanned individually and compared with a sample label that two employees have independently found to be good and in accordance with customer approval.
With our camera-based control systems, both the printed image as a whole (chipped edges, defects, color contamination, etc.) and the correct position on the label can be compared. It is also possible to compare consecutively printed numbers with the barcode using OCR. Furthermore, an inspection of Braille is also provided.
