Job Description

PMG Labels LP is offering a full-time position for experienced Flexographic Press Operators, to run and maintain flexographic and digital presses.


Job Type: Full-Time

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 8-hour shift

Work location: Goodyear, AZ

Essential Functions

 

  • Read, interpret, and understand information and verify this information among proofs, specifications and other sources
  • Pulls job tickets
  • Inspect, manage and monitor materials
  • Inspect, manage, monitor and replace die cutting cylinders and other tools etc.
  • Set and verify colors
  • Set up, install, start and operate press, check for running speed, color, tension, alignment, position and overall quality
  • Ensure that production runs according to specifications and with low waste
  • Clean up and maintenance machines, cylinders, dies, ink and other tools
  • Ensure good housekeeping around the working place
  • Scan products to verify, incl. samples, write job documentations
  • Report inventory, stage inventory
  • Follow instructions, ensure safety rules and policies


Qualifications & Requirements


  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Position requires experience with flexographic or digital presses
  • Commitment to high standards and acute attention to detail
  • Ability to read, ability to write and interpret a variety of instructions, like safety rules
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • To stand, walk, carry, lift up to 75 pounds and occasionally carry heavier objects
  • Use manual dexterity and hand and finger coordination to grasp, reach and lift
  • Employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles, occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and loud noise level
  • Good color vision
  • Must have basic computer skills including Email
  • Must have mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance
  • Must have basic leadership skills to give assistants simple directions
  • Must work well under time constraints
  • Must comply with all safety rules


Non-Essential Qualifications


  • Familiarity with production of labels is a plus, especially roll-to-roll
  • Familiarity with barcodes is a plus
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000:2015 is a plus
  • Familiarity with IoT (internet of things), especially RFID is a plus
